Cancun's main "Hotel Zone" lies along 14 miles of beachfront known as "Cancun Island" within 30 minutes of Cancun International Airport. Properties here face the Bay, the Nichupte Lagoon, or the multi-colored waters of the Caribbean Sea. Downtown hotels in the city of Cancun (el Centro) are reasonably priced alternatives to the Hotel Zone – many offer shuttle service to the beach.

Cancun is a tourist destination located in the state of Quintana Roo, Mexico on the Yucatan peninsula in southeastern Mexico.
