Our truly Mexican resort is clustered amidst 280 acres of coconut palm trees set against a backdrop of tropical jungle, absolutely secluded on a one mile stretch of beautiful Caribbean beach front. Kantenah Bay on the Riviera Maya facing the beautiful Mexican Caribbean. One hour south of Cancun's airport, 25 minutes south of Playa Del Carmen, 10 minutes from Xel-Ha and 25 minutes north of Tulum.

A secluded resort for adults only surrounded by 280 acres of unspoiled tropical jungle, on over one mile of a beachfront coconut plantation and in front of one of the most striking coral reefs in the world. Spread among thousands of palm trees, there are several one or two story buildings with 3 to 12 junior suites each, many with private Jacuzzi, ocean view, extra large terraces with a hammock and bright Mexican colors.

Swimming pools: Guests enjoys two large pools. The north pool is next to Los Cocos Bar and the Spa building. The south pool is next to Los Arrecifes complex.

El Dorado Spa: A 2 story separate green building located next to the north pool. It features a fitness center, sauna rooms, steam rooms, showers, massage center bathrooms and locker rooms, beauty parlor, a large outdoor Jacuzzi and an array of health, beauty and body treatments for the mind and the soul.

Animation & Sports: Guests are entertained by a team of professionals trained at the Caribbean islands and first rate all-inclusive resorts in Mexico. 

Water Sports: We feature a small marina located on the south beach. In addition to paddleboats, kayaks and snorkel that are included in the rate, guests enjoy a variety of optional tours to enjoy the Caribbean, underground cenotes, scuba diving small game and deep-sea fishing.

Tennis Court: Guests play daytime tennis at our court located 200 meters from the lobby.

Bicycles: Guests can ride around the property.

Car Rental: We feature a small fleet of Ford Contours and Club Wagons at very low prices for guests only, that they can hire with chauffeur for hours or full days.

Tour Desk: Located near the lobby for a variety of sightseeing throughout the Mayan World. 

Laundry & Dry Cleaning: Service provided by a local supplier in Playa Del Carmen.

Gift Shop & Sundries: Small variety store located near the lobby and the north pool.

El Dorado Logo Shop: Small logo shop where guest may purchase El Dorado mementos.

Safe Deposit Boxes: Located at the front desk and free of charge for guests only.

• Ak Tun Chen: Located 5 minutes south of El Dorado. Recently discovered, this magic place takes you back 5 millions years through caves and allows your imagination to wonder free as you gaze at the thousands of stalactites and stalagmites. This tour is part of your All-inclusive.

• Chichen-Itza: Located 2 hours from El Dorado. This Ceremonial center where the Mayans gathered to worship their gods and mysteriously abandoned in 1206 AD. It is here where on September 21st and March 21st during the equinox, the sun cast shadows on the steps that create the effect of a snake wriggling down the face of the pyramid.

• Coba: 1 Hour from El Dorado, the city of Coba once occupied 100 Sq. kilometers. It is here where one finds The Nohoch Mul Pyramid, the tallest pre-Hispanic structure in the Yucatan.

• Tulum: Located 25 minutes from El Dorado. The ruling Mayans used this imposing walled ceremonial and political center from the classic period, while the common people settled on the perimeter.

• Xcaret: Located 15 minutes north of El Dorado. Known 500 hundred years ago as the Mayan Port of Pole. Today, it is known as Nature's Sacred Paradise and it is Mexico's only Eco-archeological Park.

• Xel-Ha: Located 15 minutes south of El Dorado. This National Park is a natural phenomenon of coves, inlets and lagoons hewn out of the soft limestone terrain typical of the Yucatan.
